About This Game About Runeous is a 2 part story. In this episode we introduce the characters and the main plot which will be concluded in part 2. The world of Ceir'a faces a new threat. It is here that Leif, a young runic apprentice meets a Jacawi tribeswoman Eme. Together they must overcome the differences of their people and unite the factions to thwart the rising evil empire. Though not all is as it seems when the very fabric of nature begins to fall apart! Characters The story follows 4 main characters and various 'NPCs' who help the story along. I tried getting into the story, but it was so concerned with being 'witty' and breaking the fourth wall that I couldn't stomach it any more and simply enabled the skip text option. This isn't worth playing, except for the easy achievements.. This game has its unique pair of Narrators to guide the players through the introduction of the plot and in most cut-scenes. The voice acting was also good, and I found it humorous how they'll pester each other from time to time. x3 Its music and art were also well done and finely detailed in terms of the environment as we progress in scenes. The characters in Runeous: Part One are anything but bland, albeit somewhat generic to that of a cast from many other VNs. It can be difficult to build distinct characters, let alone a memorable story, but for a free game I'd say this was well done. It's worth playing if you like light-hearted VNs.. It's short and free, but other than that...I didn't feel anything for the characters, except disliking them.The story has not yet really begun so there's not much to tell either.The bickering narrators are annoying rather than funny, and breaking the 4th wall is distracting when the rest of the story is supposedly serious.I'm not a fan of the art style for the characters, they always look either angry of monster-like, but the backgrounds look good.The music is on short and on repeat, it's boring. No volume control , by the way.Try it if you have less than an hour to lose, but it'd be better spent on another game.. I hated the bickering narrators who make the story hard to follow.. good game with good backgrounds , very well drawn characters with colorful and fun personalities including the two riders of the story , atmosphere songs , interesting story , good bug monster design ,well placed select how the story to continue . i recommend this game it was fun and i enjoy it enough to wish to make this comment holping the creators see it and be all nice and fuzzy inside for someone enjoying what they done. meow
